Your new passion

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, governance policies, and best practices.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior data engineers, empowering data analysts and engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement of our data infrastructure with a focus on experience for data scientists and analysts, security, efficiency and costs.

You inspire us with this

  • You have at least a few years of experience as an individual contributor and most of them in data engineering.
  • You understand requirements (performance, data, feature) between different systems and can translate this into technical designs. Your strong analytical mindset allows you to assess trade-offs between different approaches to drive impactful decisions.
  • You have seen different cloud data stacks and are deeply familiar with at least two: AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark and/or Databricks. We are using Azure and Databricks.
  • You have a well-rounded infrastructure knowledge beyond pure data engineering and are familiar with IaC, CI/CD, and observability. We are using Terraform, Prometheus and Gitlab.
  • You have built and maintained at least one data/ML platform over a long period of time. You’re comfortable with traditional data warehouse architecture, concepts like data meshes and have a well rounded understanding of BI related data challenges.
  • You bring a clear, audience-sensitive style to your verbal and written communication in German and English. Note that your stakeholders maybe German, so a B2 level is required.
