Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and put in action steps to meet and exceed assigned sales quotas by selling into new and existing accounts by aggressively promoting the products in assigned institutions across Chemistry and Medicine institutions to gain and retain adoption and library sales for Thieme products. (B2B, B2C, B2B2C)
- Create and analyse data for key accounts and market to build a robust funnel to nurture potential accounts, prioritize coverage plans to deliver requisite results.
- Demonstrate consultative sales approach to build the brand and product awareness and work with potential customers to help them fulfil their knowledge needs/address their pain points.
- Do effective territory coverage physically and using remote tools to enhance sales, retain and increase adoptions for print and digital products to enhance sales and report activities and leads journey into company CRM.
- Build meaningful professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and decision makers in the territory.
- Conduct effective product presentations and live demonstrations highlighting value proposition for stakeholders which includes but not limited to Students, Library professionals, Faculty and Head(s) of Institution.
- Create and share periodic reports as defined by the line manager.
- Coordinate with other sales colleagues, marketing and publishing team.
- Create relevant presentations for internal and external stakeholders, create and present meaningful data, defend quotes and negotiate well with the client to maximise business value for the organisation.
- Be ethical in code of conduct and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for creating customer delight post sales.
Required Background & skills:
- 7 - 10 years of sales experience in an institutional sales environment preferably in Publishing/Education/Edtech sales. Experience in Healthcare industry is desirable.
- Strong customer relationship skills: ability to retain and grow key accounts.
- Strong negotiation skills across different levels of hierarchy are must.
- Excellent presentation skills with interest in technology products. Be well versed with MS office suite and have functional knowledge of using a standard CRM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data-driven, Solution Oriented mindset, Agile in decision making and manage resources.
- Ability to adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment.
- The job requires extensive travel across assigned territory and candidate should possess valid driving license and preferably own vehicle.
